This 4" by 6” postcard was originally issued by the Hockey Hall of Fame. The card features full-color art work by Carlton McDiarmid with the reverse containing biographical information including the year the player was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Career milestones as well as significant accomplishments are listed in both French and English.

The postcard is encapsulated in an oversized PSA slab, measuring approximately 6⅝ inches x 10⅛ inches. Displays wonderfully!

The man nicknamed "Praying Benny" was one of the first great goalies in pro hockey and a great innovator. He was the first goalie to drop to his knees to stop the puck at a time when dropping to the ice was illegal. He was the catalyst for the first rule change in the NHL, legalizing his playing style. He was also the first goaltender in the National Hockey League to wear a mask.

Clinton Benedict played for the Ottawa Senators and the Montreal Maroons. He was the goalie for four Stanley Cup-winning squads and he is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Exquisite item and not too many items to collect of Clint Benedict.
