"The Hawk" broke into the majors with the Expos in 1976 when he was up with the team for a cup of coffee at the end of the season. During his first full season in 1977, he won the National League Rookie of Year.

The three time National League All-Star spent his first 11 seasons with the Expos, winning 6 Gold Gloves and 3 Silver Sluggers. Andre Dawson Ahe led the 1981 team to its only playoff appearance in Montreal, in the National League Championship Series against the Dodgers.

Andre Dawson was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2010.
