This 4" by 6” postcard was originally issued by the Hockey Hall of Fame. The card features full-color art work by Carlton McDiarmid with the reverse containing biographical information including the year the player was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Career milestones as well as significant accomplishments are listed in both French and English.
The postcard is encapsulated in an oversized PSA slab, measuring approximately 6⅝ inches x 10⅛ inches. Displays wonderfully!
The man nicknamed the "Pembroke Peach" was the inaugural winner of both the Hart Trophy and the Lady Byng Trophy. "The Flying Dutchman" was an important part of the Ottawa Senators 1920s run, winning four Cups in 1920, 1921, 1923, and 1927. in the National Hockey League to wear a mask.
"Peerless Frank." was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1947 in addition to the Canada Sports Hall of Fame and the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame. The Hockey News ranked Nighbor number 100 on their list of the 100 Greatest Hockey Players of all time.
